The JCRSEA Scholarship was established and is funded by retired Jeffco Public School employees, to provide further educational opportunities to Jeffco School graduates. JCRSEA awards two $1,000 scholarships in May. To qualify all recipients of the scholarships must be enrolled no later than the fall of 2010 and must be a full time student at the college, university or technical school of their choice. Awards are paid directly to the educational institution.
The 2010 JCRSEA Scholarship Application will be available here at The Jefferson Foundation website after January 31, 2010.

Established in 2003 by Jeffco educator, Mary Ballenger, the OPBY Scholarships provide Arvada High School students with financial need an opportunity to further their education post-high school at a trade/technical school, community college, state school or university. In any given year, two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded each spring. Funds must be used within one year of the award date. Awards are paid directly to the educational institution.
Applications for the next cycle of scholarships will be available through Arvada High School Counseling Office after January 2010.

Chris Faughnan Memorial Scholarship (Arvada High School)
Christopher E. Faughnan, a graduate of Arvada High School, worked on Wall Street and perished at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. As a hard working, loyal and generous father, husband, and family member, Chris advocated a socially responsible life. In order to share his memory and inspire young people, his family established the Christopher Faughnan Scholarship. Funded by private donations, the Faughnan Scholarship awards $3,000 to $1,500 annually to Arvada High School seniors. Students are judged on academics, community service, and an essay on social acceptance & responsibility. Their potential to make a positive impact on society as well as their financial need are also considered.
The Foundation is fiscal agent for the scholarship. Donations made payable to The Jefferson Foundation /Chris Faughnan Scholarship Fund should be sent to The Jefferson Foundation, 809 Quail Street, Building #1, Lakewood, CO 80215.
Applications for the Christopher Faughnan Scholarship are available through the Arvada High School Counseling office.

McKee-Tomlinson Scholarship (Arvada High School)
Established by former educators, the McKee-Tomlinson Scholarship provides low income students from Arvada High School an opportunity to further their education at a trade/technical school, community college, state school or university. In any given year, one $1,000 scholarship is awarded each spring. Funds must be used within one year of the award date. Awards will be paid directly to the educational institution.
Restrictions. Applicants must be a graduating senior from Arvada High School from 2003 forward and must have at least a 3.0 grade point average (on a 4-point scale) at the time the application is submitted. Students must have been accepted at an accredited college, university or technical school.
Applications are available through the Arvada High School Counseling Office.

Lillian LaFleur Scholarship Fund
The scholarship was created and funded by former Jefferson County educator, Lillian LaFleur. It awards two outstanding Spanish Advanced Placement students from any Jefferson County High School an opportunity to further their education post high school at a state school or university.

Scholarship Highlights:

Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a graduating senior from any Jefferson County Public High School
- Students must have participated in an Advanced Placement Spanish class
- Student must have been a member of the school’s Spanish Club
- Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Scholarship applications must be received at The Jefferson Foundation, 809 Quail Street, Building #1, Lakewood, CO 80215, no later than April 15th of each year. Scholarship recipients will be notified no later than May 15th of each year.
