Scholarships: Columbine High School
Rebel Character Award
The Rebel Character in Athletics Scholarship was created to award varsity athletes who have continually demonstrated character and leadership in athletics and in the classroom. The scholarship is funded by a donation from a former Jefferson County and University of Colorado athlete, who is now part of the Columbine community.
Scholarship Highlights:
- $2500 award to one male senior and $2500 award to one female senior.
- Award paid directly to educational institution for the benefit of the student.
- Awarded to students who exhibit excellence in athletics, leadership and academics and have demonstrated an ability to overcome adversity.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be a graduating senior from Columbine High School.
- Student must have participated in varsity athletics.
- Student must have at least a 3.0 GPA
Application Process/Deadline
- Application forms available through the Columbine High School counseling offices, through varsity athletic coaching staffs, and by downloading application below.
- Applications must be turned into the counseling offices by 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012.
- Finalists may also have a personal interview with the Selection Committee.
- Recipients will be notified by letter no later than May 15.
