Scholarships: Jefferson County Retired School Employees Association (JCRSEA) Scholarship

The JCRSEA Scholarship was established and is funded by retired Jeffco Public School employees to provide further educational opportunities to Jeffco School graduates. JCRSEA awards at least two $1,000 scholarships in May. To qualify all recipients of the scholarships must be enrolled no later than the fall of the year that the scholarship is given and must be a full time student at the college, university or technical school of their choice. Awards are paid directly to the educational institution.

The 2012 JCRSEA Scholarships application is available for download by clicking here (Word doc) and also through all Jeffco High School counselor offices.

The high school counselor must send all completed forms to The Jefferson Foundation no later than 4:30 p.m. April 15, 2012. All applicants will be notified by letter of the committee’s decision in May of 2012.

2010 JCRSEA Scholarship Winners: Brian and Brendon Wilson - Columbine HS

(CU-Boulder), and David Schweger - Standley Lake HS (MetroState, Denver.)

2009 JCRSEA Scholarship Winners: David Schulz – Evergreen HS (CU-Boulder ), Lauren Goh - Golden HS (Harvard University) and Emily Kochevar – Lakewood HS ( UNC)

2008 JCRSEA Scholarship Winners: Sean Patrick DePaula - D’Evelyn (CU-Boulder) and Bethany Hyatt - Bear Creek (Regis University).

2007 JCRSEA Scholarship Winners: Madison Kochevar – Lakewood HS (University of Wyoming), Amanda Siewert – Pomona HS (Metro State College of Denver).
